Operating Responsibly: Our Environmental Commitment
As a modern consultancy, we believe that sustainable business practices are not just for large corporations.
We are committed to running a low-carbon operation, measuring our impact, and ensuring that our services do not negatively contribute to our partners' Scope 3 emissions targets.
We take a data-led approach to sustainability, tracking our environmental impact against UK Government GHG Conversion factors.
2025 Environmental Snapshot
Total Carbon Footprint: 0.32 tonnes CO2e
Energy Status: Net Exporter (Green Energy)
Primary Travel Mode: Rail & Active Travel
How we Keep our Footprint Low
1. A "Net-Positive" Energy Office
The Recurve office is powered by a dedicated solar array and battery storage system. In 2025, our premises were energy positive in terms of electricity, exporting 2,139 kWh of renewable power back to the grid—more than the total amount imported (2,067 kWh) for the year. Any residual energy requirements are supplied by Octopus Energy, a renewable-focused supplier.
2. Rail-First Travel Policy
We strictly prioritise rail travel for meetings, site visits and events.
First and last mile travel is conducted by active travel modes.
We avoid domestic flights and private car use for business unless by exception.
3. Transparent Reporting
While as a micro-SME we are not legally required to report under SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting), we maintain detailed Scope 1, 2, and 3 data. We are happy to provide these figures to partners to assist with their own supply chain reporting.
